Public health officials appear poised to recommend a COVID-19 booster shot for people with compromised immune systems. The decision is expected to be announced Friday by the Food and Drug Administration. The country’s leading infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, says it is likely that at some point everyone will need a booster vaccine.
