Who Will Protect the "Last Traditional Village"?: Yunnan, China

Wengding Village, located in the Yunnan Province of China, is known as "China's last traditional village." After a fire in 2021, the village was rebuilt and is now managed by a tourism developer. Residents, relocated to a new village, now work as day laborers in their former home. Some hope this change will improve their lives, but others fear their traditional culture will be lost to tourism.
